i have a music man jp 6 on the way has this pickup installed. But everyone bashes it, says its a terrible pickup. ill make my own mind up..

@thatoneguy99100 well i now own the d sonic and its the best pick up i ever had. i had a tone zone before ant its sounds just plain awefull in every sense..
@Winterhe4rt just my two cents… you can never go wrong with a dimarzio and an ibanez. they are perfect together
@kakabulle243 Difficult to answer, is never how a pickup will behave in one guitar to another, you try to find the right model.

@scotbis nice. i recently play a SD custom in it and its really harsh and not very powerfull. so I#m looking for a pup thats better in that standart d tuned guitar for a more thicker sound but generally pretty bright though. u suggest i should try this one yeah? i think the tone zone is a bit too bassy for that purpose right?

@GuitarmanSDW depends on what type really. death metal probs not but for anything that requires a pretty heavy riff and solo this is amazing for =) really good for john petrucci style playing . hope this helps

For me, D sonic is one of best creations of Dimarzio.
i spent ages trying to find the right bridge pickup for me and this video made my mind up about it I got the d sonic and let me tell you guys… its AMAZING =)
notes have real clarity even under heavy gain but high notes still have body to them
no ear splitting treble just screaming hot pickups =)
