Carmex smells gross but is a good lip balm you may or may not be thinking straight

I tend to have super dry lips, even to the point that they crack and start bleeding. This works with no lip balm other than Carmex: I apply a thick coat, chill for around 2-3 hours without removing it and then wipe it away, along with all the dead skin. Now my lips feel like those of a newborn child.

I like the jar vs the tube version.
But when I keep the jar in my pocket
It gets dirt and gunk under the lid.

Carmex is SO bad for your lips. Temporary relief and moisture, sure, but it is damaging and ultimately drying to your lips (although, not as bad as EOS). I used it for over 4 years and became so dependant on it. The only actually hydrating and deeply moisturising lip balms I've ever tried (and are approved by actual dermatologists) are the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Lip balm, and Nuxe's Reve de Miel lip balm. Definitely give one of these a try if you can get hold of them. They're a tiny bit more expensive – but for good reason. They undid years of Carmex damage for me and countless others.

I like the consistency of Carmex, the way it works and the tingles but I CANNOT bear the medicated smell, even on those with vanilla or strawberry scents. I'm always trying something new. Usually I use two different lip balms at any time. One before bed wich feels richer and more moisturizing (I love the Nivea lip butters for that) and something lighter with spf on the go, like Labello or nivea. Sometimes when I go out at night and I feel like using something a bit more fun I love Lipsmacker cotton candy or bubble gum flavour because it smells amazing and it gets its job done. I have no conplaints so far. I bought an expensive one once on body -shop wich smells like watermelon and kiwi but feels super drying. I was very disappointed. Cheap balms are the way to go, I think.

Can I put it on my eyelashes instead of the basic vaseline? Do they have the same ingredients
